Good! Good!
Good!
Following
Rotary International President Kalyan Banerjees emphasis towards strengthening New
Generations Programs in our District 4550 of Bahia State, Brazil has selected
and trained forty exchange students for travelling abroad in fellowship
missions, out of a vary strict preliminary application selection systems.
The forty
students and over 120 families selected will allow a very intensive
International Youth Exchange year. To foster security the District installed
the Council of Rotarians for the Safety of Yougsters which also cares for
Interacts.
Brazilian
and more so yet Bahian students are well educated youngsters eager to make new
friendships and add to Rotary fellowship wherever they go.
Some o four
customary partners for YEP Exchange have not had students to come over this
year, maybe due to economic crisis in Europe and in the United States.
Therefore
our YEO is now at Ouro Preto for an International Reunion of YEP Officers to
try to make new acquaintances and Exchange mates.
All
returnees from Bahia keep a net work in Facebook with our District 4550 and
friendships last forever.
Our present
District Governor Durval himself was an Exchange Student to the Yakima Valley
(Grandview), Washington, USA, in 1963.
